Dear Bob,
There aren't enough words in the English language to express to you how thankful I am for helping me become healthy and fit again. When I began training with you in December 2007, I was disillusioned with not just how I looked in the mirror, but also how I felt physically, mentally and emotionally. After enduring a life-threatening pregnancy and caring for my very premature daughter, working out and getting back in shape were not a priority. As my daughter grew stronger and I recouped, I realized that I had to take charge of my health and fitness once more. Thanks to you, I have been able to do that in just a couple of months.
Although the numbers on the scale have not varied much, I have witnessed a drastic change in my body. In the first two months alone, I have lost 11.5 pounds of fat, gained 12.5 pounds of muscle, and reduced my body fat percentage from 33% to 24.8%! I also lost 2.3 inches from my waist and went down two dress sizes. I now fit into clothes I was considering donating to charity because I never thought I would fit into them again. More importantly, though, I feel healthier and stronger. I no longer struggle when I pick up my daughter, and carrying grocery bags from the car to the house is no longer a chore.
Another perk from training with you is that you have taught me the importance of eating appropriately sized meals 5 to 7 times a day and combining good carbs, protein and veggies to properly nourish myself. I used to believe that the best way to "lose" weight was by cutting down caloric intake and eating at most three times a day. I had no idea how much I was hurting myself by doing that. By eating properly, I no longer go hungry, and I am always full of energy.
In closing, I can only say once more - Thank You- two very simple words that best express my debt of gratitude.
